Amy - great poem. Those hopeful words ironically evoke a bit of sadness but for the fact that after almost 250 years we appear further from that hopeful promise. Yet... while hopes and dreams are the inspiration of poets, it is the poetry itself that can be the trumpet for change and the call to action. Onward!
